Description: The College of Chiropractic, a part of Northwestern Health Sciences University, is currently inviting applications for a full-time teaching faculty position within the Basic Sciences Department. The successful applicant should possess a PhD in Physiology or closely related subject area.
Duties:The individual who fills this position will teach and direct the development of Physiology and potentially related courses and curriculum. This person will plan and conduct both lectures and laboratory experiences in these disciplines. It is also desirable that the successful candidate have demonstrated experience in case-based curriculum design.

We seek an experienced, versatile PhD who has strong teaching and interpersonal skills. The Basic Sciences department at Northwestern has a very strong reputation among Chiropractic schools for its rigorous course work and personable, supportive faculty.
Qualifications:
  • A terminal academic degree (Ph.D.) or a professional doctorate in health care (DC, MD, DO) is required with education/and or instructional experience appropriate for a primary instructor of undergraduate/professional-level courses
  • Three years experience in classroom/lab instruction at an undergraduate or professional program level
  • A scholarly inclination: an inquisitive, searching mind
  • Strong desire to develop curricular content that is conducive to training health care professionals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Above average interpersonal skills with ability to work with a diverse population
  • An understanding of integrative healthcare generally and chiropractic specifically
